“Mora Mora” means “No stress” in Malagasy. This is also most peoples approach to climate change. Parson's chameleon, one of the biggest chameleons in the world, is trying to avoid the changing climate on its island and is climbing ever higher into the Malagasy mountains. At some point the top is reached and the chameleon can’t climb any higher.
This specimen is on display in the Natural History Museum in Vienna. It probably dates back to the 1850s. Since then the world temperature has increased by 1.5 degrees Celsius. Every color change in the chameleon glass is a 0.05 degree Celsius increase in the average temperature.
