“A visual cry from the depths of the subconscious. Inflection, a work that marks a before and after.”
Inflection is a surreal marine myth—a procession of strange creatures drifting through a dreamlike sea. Hybrid beings float, sink or rise: stitched bodies, arrowed limbs, a red octopus with human eyes, and fish that resemble skeletons. The bottle that drifts ashore reads “Inflection Remix,” hinting at a coded message, a transformation in motion.
The background is painted in layered bands of blue and ochre, evoking both the ocean depths and the sandy threshold between worlds. Movement is everywhere, yet the scene feels frozen in a moment of crisis or mutation.
Combining the raw energy of Art Brut with a primitive visual language, Inflection speaks of disorientation, of evolution, of altered narratives. A powerful work that captures a shift in meaning, as if something in the world—or in ourselves—has just turned in another direction.
